Vacant Position: Disability Support Workers – Out of Hours 1:1 support

IDV is a registered NDIS provider who has embraced the significant change of supporting individuals to have authority over their lives and achieve their desired outcomes.

We are currently recruiting for disability support workers to work on a casual basis supporting participants in the community for the out of hour's program, which entails working evenings and weekends.

Skills and experience

• Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent is desirable
• Current First Aid Certificate (minimum level 2) is essential
• Current drivers licence is essential
• A practical understanding and working knowledge of relevant legislation including the Disability Act 2006
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and behaviours
• A clear understanding of goal setting in relation to identified support needs
• Ability to undertake the assessment of identified goals for participants
• Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders
• Basic computer and literacy skills
• Availability to work evenings and weekends
• Australian citizens or permanent residents only
